Jim has been a salmon Tyer and guide for over thirty years in Maine US and the Gaspe area of Quebec. 

He was instructed by Bob Veverka, Bob Warren and Walt Koda. 

Jim has been active in salmon habitat preservation in his home state of Maine. 

He continues to tie Atlantic Salmon fishing flies and classics for donation to many Salmon Preservation groups.
