My name is Otto Blomqvist, a professionally trained fishing guide and youth & leisure instructor with BA in NGO & youth work. I was born in 1987 in a little village called Puuppola near by Jyväskylä in the Central of Finland. Nowadays I live in Pälkäne (Finland) where I have my own fishing tourism company. When I was a young boy I started fishing on the little river in Puuppola. I have more than 20 years of fishing experience. I have tied flies for fifteen years and tried my best to develop the Finnish fly tying culture towards greater diversity. I started to tie Atlantic Salmon Flies in 2006 and I am strongly addicted to them. I have participated in the Finnish national fly tying championships both as a contender and as a judge. Over the years, I have taught fly tying for many children & young people in youth work and child welfare. I like to tie many types of salmon flies, especially full winged classic, spey and dee flies. I am looking forward to meet you all in ASFI 2020.
